The Annoyed Man

I first joined this forum in September of 2015, when I purchased my first Mossberg - a 20” 590A1 - but I didn’t post anything until just yesterday, when I had a question about a 930 SPX I bought in April of 2019. I own 3 other sporting shotguns from Benelli, Stoeger, and Yildiz, but these two tactical shotguns are my only Mossbergs.
The Benelli SBE II is my only other semiauto, but it is more finicky with ammunition choice than the 930 SPX is. It won’t feed 2-3/4” #7.5 birdshot reliably at all, and it really prefers 3” shells......which of course cost more. Also, the inertial recoil system provides a sharper recoil impulse than a gas-piston system does.
If my 930 SPX experience is typical for Mossberg semiautos, then I just may sell that Benelli and buy a hunting version of the 930/935/940 platform.
