Hey Everyone,

I'm new to the whole internet forum thing. Here in the next couple of months I'm going to buy a Mossberg 464. I would like to hear any opinions on bluing vs. marinecote finish. I want to use the 464 for deer and hogs. Any tips in those areas would be greatly appreciated as well. Thanks in advance.

Welcome aboard!

We've got a great group of folks here on Mossberg Owners and the atmosphere is very laid back. The only thing we like better than discussing each other's guns is lookin at 'em, so be sure to post pics of any firearms you own in the various sub-forums. Take a look around and you'll find that we're into a lot more than just Mossberg around here. Head down to the 464 section and jump in on the conversation anywhere. I know our 464 owners will be happy to answer any questions you have.

Enjoy the site!

Welcome from PA! You found a great forum to start with. Don't take me as the definitive answer but if you expect to be hunting in bad weather I belive the marincote would be better. That should be a great handling carbine for deer and hogs.

Welcome from MI!!
