Hi guys i have a quick question i have a mossy 500 ATP that i will be picking up in about a week the barrel has factory slug sights is it possable to remove the rear sight so i can attach a heat shield

Not really. They're soldered on. Sell that barrel and get the one you want.

A new barrel will run you around $150 ordered direct through Mossberg...

I removed the ones on my Rifled slug barrel... Not the front ramp, but the actual blade and rear section.

Remove the rear sight section by unlocking and sliding it off the ramp, then there is another screw for the rear on the ramp itself, and finally a smaller one that fits into a dovetail groove in the barrel itself.
