590a1 Ghost Ring Front Sight

I have a 590a1 and I'm interested in any advice or recommendations on replacing the original front orange stripe GRS with an easier to see front sight - possibly an xs sight. Thanks in advance.

Not sure about the XS dots, but I installed an AimPro fiber optic front post on my A1...

Finally got a chance to snap some pics of the new Aimpro Fiber Optic front sight I installed on my 590a1...





This thing is awesome! It lights up like a laser in the sun and is incredibly bright even in low light. Aimpro did their homework on the fit making installation a breeze.

Thank you. I was looking Aimpro as well. Based on your pics and review, I'm leaning that way now.

It's held up like a champ. Only issue you might run into is that AimPro has been difficult to contact lately. Not sure what's going on there...

I have a Meprolite on mine

Ok, Here we go.
This first pic shows how an aluminum cleaning rod run through the sight channel in the rail pints to the front sight.

Then I installed the Meprolight, It tapped right in, It should be a good to go, I also tightened don the allen screw with a little blue lock-tight.

I had to run the aluminum rod down the side to show the height of the sight as well as the sight angle.

Here are a couple of the best shots I could get of the view down the barrel.

Obviously only range time will tell if its a viable replacement, But so far I have accomplished what I was shooting for.
