Bear Ammo

After the discussion and great comments on 45 ACP bear ammo, I have some new bear ammo loaded up for the camping season.

Number one camp gun is a Mossberg 12 ga 930 SPX loaded with 1 oz rifle slugs. Number two camp gun is a Henery Big Boy 44 mag loaded with a 240 grn hard cast lead SWC bullet with a gas check. I used 23 grns of H110 at just over 1400 fps. Hiking gun is still the 45 with a hard cast lead 230 grn RN bullet. I used 7 grns of 800-X at about 940 FPS.

Thanks to all of you for the comments on bear ammo, it really made sense and changed my thinking about bear ammo.
