This is the XDS-2, got it directly from GG&G with the help of their Independence Day sale. Just got home from work threw it on and took some pics so I haven’t shot with it yet. Probably this weekend if not working so I’ll come back with bang for the buck.
I couldn’t find much on this bipod and its a little investment IMO so I’ll put this up for people in the market
Only bipod I have used with this rifle was a borrowed Harris 6-9” swivel. It is good, buddy has had it for a while and has bagged plenty of game with it mounted to a 338 win mag to a .243 even trip to AK for Caribou.
However after I used it I was even more on the fence about a bipod because it just wasn’t what I was expecting, it worked fine, I was expecting rock solid.
The GG&G is in a different league. While I haven’t shot with it I could instantly tell this bipod is ROCK solid using it prone in the backyard.
Machined with very tight tolerance, very robust CNCed aluminum mechanism, and the legs are decent thickness tubing.
Thumb nuts work the entirety of moving parts. One is for the 20 degrees of cant , one for the pan of 30 degrees to each side and one for each leg’s height adjustment…..even a large thumb nut to take it on and off.
The legs lock 45 degrees forward, awesome for laying behind a rise shooting over the top or just getting low shooting over anything. 6” tall with legs out, 8” with the legs at 90 degrees and 10.25” with the legs fully extended……rubber feet, 15 ounces.
So far I am very impressed, serious equipment.I’ll report back soon on how it feels under recoil.
