I do this as well most of the time. Just a slight twist of the arm or bend in the elbow moves the forearm out of the way. Sometimes I will still get lazy and sport the raspberry for a few days as a friendy reminder.
I still tend to wear one while hunting or shooting in cooler weather just to keep clothing out of the way
