I don't usually watch America's Got Talent or any of those other type shows, but tonight, a man from the next county over from me performed and got a standing ovation with a song he wrote called Coal Keeps the Lights On and I wanted to share it with you guys.

I know he had to keep it short for the show, and the verse he left out tonight would've probably killed his chances, but if you wanna hear the rest of the song, it's worth a few minutes to hear it all.

Thanks Mike. But it was really my pleasure.

The song itself is typical for the feelings and sentiment in this area, but he had a lot of things in it that are instantly recognizable to those of us near to it and I instantly recognized it for being so real.

Like the Bell county bobcats up on the hill, which refers to the Bell County High School, whose mascot is the bobcats.

My first cousins daughter attends the high school, and my old high school and them were huge football rivals back in the day.

Living so close to Bell County and Pineville, I have spent a lot of time there. My biological Grandfather past away at the hospital in Pineville, the tunnels in Cumberland Gap, the Pinnacle, Chain Rock, the old Glacier Girl P38 restoration project, the mall, etc etc etc.

Seeing him do so well chasing his dreams last night made me so proud that it brought tears to my eyes.

After seeing this last night, I hope to meet him someday and shake his hand.

Hope he makes it big. The message he sends with this song is important. Several years ago, a man said that Spain knew what the future would look like without fossil fuels - Cold, dim, and slow.

Yet this is exactly what Agenda 21, and Obama are working towards. You see, it's impossible to bring the entire world up to the standard of living that we enjoy in the USA, and a few other 1st world countries, so the objective is to bring those countries down to the level of the 3rd world. "Equal misery for all" is the rallying cry of the left. :evil:
