Slug barrel for a Maverick 88

Hey everyone,

New owner here, I've got a 702 plinkster and a maverick 88. My local range doesn't allow buckshot on the range, only slugs. Do I need a different barrel for slugs? If so which barrel? I have the longest barrel Dicks offered on my maverick. Thanks!

No you don't.
Just don't use more than a Modified choke and you will be fine shooting slugs.
Just my 2 cents here......shotguns are best used for shooting flying targets and that is the most fun you can have with a gun.
Now don't get me wrong, many people use their shotguns more like big rifles firing slugs at targets.
Not me, I have big rifles for big rifle shooting.
My shotguns hunt birds and all kinds of flying clays.
