53 years, a long time. It has been 53 years since President Kennedy was shot and killed in Dallas, Tx. I was in drivers training class when it was announced over the school PA system.

I was 8 1/2 years old.
I remember it was Cub Scout Day, and the meetings were at my house. We were outside skating on a 2x4 nailed to a broken roller skate, messing up our Cub Scout uniforms.
Mom called us all in and the TV was on which it never was during the meetings.
Instead of the typical stuff we sat and watched reruns of the motorcade video while my mom cried.
All the housewives loved John Kennedy.
