I’m taking my 835 along Saturday to accompany my 10mm pistol for the MN deer opener if a longer shot is required. My question is, our indoor range is only 25 yards, and am uncertain how to adjust the rear sight if say a deer is say, 75 yards out. My other option is to bring the Winchester SXP with smooth bore with fiber sights and an 18” barrel. I do have both sabot slugs for the Mossy, and rifled slugs for the SXP, it’s just a matter of which to bring. Ultimately my hope is to take a deer with the P220 Elite 10, but must be an ethical shot either way, plus having a slug gun with would be beneficial…Thoughts?
