Hi guys,
I would like to share with you some hunting pics of my ATR's hunting season this year, as well as some of the upgrades I made to the rifle.
Let's start with the hunting pics.
My first hunt with my rifle was June this year. I shared the story of the hunt here on the forum. I shot this Impala ram in the Limpopo province of South africa
Beginning of July we went on a hunting trip to the Kalahari in the Northern Cape province of South africa. Here I was very lucky to shoot a Gemsbuck and three kudu cows. Unfortunately there was no picks of the kudu cows taken.
I ended of my hunting season right next to the Zimbabwean border in Musina, also the Limpopo province. Here I shot a jackal and a waterbuck cow. My one mate shot a very nice Impala using my ATR.
I then received my Boyds pepper classic stock, had it pillar and glass bedded, fitted a Rudolph 4-16x50 Ts, Warne medium rings, and had the trigger polished. The trigger now breaks at a very crisp 1,13 lbs. I haven't had the rifle back at the range het, but will hopefully get the chance next weekend.
Meanwhile I also bought a Weatherby vanguard s2 in 243, and will start with the modifications hopefully in the next month.
You you guys enjoyed the pics.
