New 590 Retro Extra Spring?

Hi there. First time poster. I just unboxed a 590 Retro and as I cleaned up I found this spring lying on the ground under my bench. Did it come from the gun or was it from something else? Everything on the shotgun seemed to be functioning properly, and I hadn't disassembled it for cleaning yet. I wondered if this was a "spare" or it was unrelated to the gun.

Thanks for your knowledge before I toss this in the trash.

Welcome to the forum from the socialist republic of New York. I don’t recognize that spring from a Mossy pump. Small springs are found in the safety mechanism and the trigger group. Just keep it somewhere just in case.
