Tri-Rail on a vented rib barrel

Just want to put this out there and see what you folks think.

I haven't received it yet but it should be in soon. I'm thinking I would cut the top piece of the tri-rail, split it so to speak, taking out the width of the vented rib and be able to use this for a clamp on my extended magazine giving me a better way for a swivel mount that I can use for a sling or a bi-pod and what if any other bling I want to hang on it.

I'm going to give this a try as soon as it comes in. When it does I'll put pics of it under Mossberg 835 Ulti-Mag Pump Action - Blackhawk 835 Spec-Ops Conversion
