How is the plastic handguard attached to the tube? Screws? Tension? rivets?
 
Zero plastic friend the Spikes is 100% machined !! Thats one piece of metal

I'm still thinking about getting a flare/smoke/scarecrow launcher. I think I would prefer one of the older style though. Not that there is anything wrong with a rail mount, I just think I would like one with a barrel mount.

Its a novelty, ours was a knee jerk purchase for the lil lady she wanted she got weve had some fun with it. Honest if i was making a list of things to aquire it would be way down near bottom ☺ momma feels different though thats fine
 
I wouldn't mind having one and registering it as a DD (Destructive Device). That opens up a lot more, um, things you can legally do with it.
