Good morning

After my wife helped me install the new InSinkErator I wrote a large monologue about the experience.

My wife is a lovely woman. She is a wonderful soul who spent her whole life teaching little kids to read and do arithmetic and go to the bathroom instead of wetting their pants.

But she and Technology of every sort and electricity in particular are totally unknown to each other, with one glaring exception.

She learned an awful lot about operating computers from living with me and she became the computer advisor among all the teachers at her school.

But if you gave her a piece of wire with nothing hooked to either end of it she would still be worried she was going to get a shock.

I'm up...it's morning.
I'm tired.
I'm burning up with pain in my shoulder and my knees.
It sucks getting old......

I'm a little sore my own self.

I've been sanding on my new cabinet.
OMG! I have to cut this thing with my little skill saw? The set up took me a while. This bar top is almost 2 inches thick.

I had to cut this and then rip it & then I had to sand the edges well.

I needed the exercise so I did not use the power sander.

The top got coats of sealer on the back edge and underside, which will be totally inaccessible when it's mounted.

The feet and base parts are cut and finished and there are a few structural parts you cannot see which need to be completed. I ran out of Oak so there will be more woodwork tomorrow.

Good morning Mossberg owners. Cloudy again and 42 in Tulsa. We are almost at our high for the day as the forecast calls for 45.

That is going to be a nice piece when you get finished Cadd. I am presently stripping wall paper off of a bathroom and going to paint the walls and trim. It won't be any better, just different.

Ya'll have a great day and stay safe.

Nice Cad, that thing will hold up for years to come.

Mornin again fellas...and my buddies Elbert, Scoop, Djcala, meanstreak, CaddmannQ, Terry, and MikeD !!

Good morning Mossberg owners.

I want to see a cataract specialist about my eyes yesterday. I've been putting the surgery off for a couple years because I wanted to retire first and get some things out of the way before I get brave enough to let people stick things in my eyes.

Anyhow I'm scheduled to have surgery on the 27th so I'll be well fed for the event and still smelling like turkey.

Best of luck with your surgery! A friend of mine just had his done over the Summer and he is very pleased with the results!

Good afternoon all.

Just got out of a job interview. Met with a panel of 5 people. I thought it went good, but one can never tell. Its out of my hands now. At the very worst I have a little more interviewing experience.

I know tiger balm well. Used quite abit it helps the joints. But this prescription stuff is a wonder for me keeping me mobile on days when i wouldnt be getting around with bad knees or bad shoulders. See if it may help you. Id gladly send ya a tube i have plenty but i believe mailing any sort of prescription is big nono.

Good morning everyone. It feels pretty nice out this morning they say we have some rain on the way today. Going to have a nice early morning walk at first light yall have a great day and stay safe

Good morning DJ.

It's only 2 a.m. in California but I fell asleep early and now I'm awake.

This is one of the problems of not being on a nine-to-five job. I forget what day it is and I don't know what time to go to bed and wake up

Well its 4a.m. here and i have basically same issue. Since I retired i can come and go as i please but old habits die hard. And 4am wakes are fairly common i like it though. Its my peaceful quite time i sort of enjoy watching and hearing the world slowly come to life. Now typically around 2pm you can usually catch me napping.

I have used Tiger Balm once in awhile my own self. I like it but I don't know that it's better than any other menthol/eucalyptus oil type liniment.

I never had any prescription strength stuff, but my mom had arthritis and I watched what they put her through. Not much help there except the cortisone cocktail shots right into the knees. Yikes!

Fortunately mine is not that bad and I was smart enough to lose weight when I could still exercise hard, so now I'm not suffering like my overweight buddies who are trucking around an extra 50 or 60 lb on sore knee cartilage.

I was limping around with a cane for a while when I was fat, but eight years later I am traipsing up and down the hills pretty good for a 62 year old flatlander.

. . . around 2pm you can usually catch me napping.

Early dinners & afternoon naps are the rule around here unless I'm working on a project or out on the road.

My sleep schedule is mostly driven by my project schedule, but unlike the old days I make my own project schedule now. ;)

Im a solid 28pounds over my ideal fighting weight and my knees look like ive had chainsaw surgery from several reconstructions over the years. Torn ACLs MCLs patella tendons and destroyed meniscus. But I still ruck up at least 4 days a week and do 3 to 8 miles. I grin and bear it the pleasure is worth the pain. I often questionnwhy ? I have plan it in detail several times and this spring may actually be the year my cripple fat butt attempts to thru hike the AT from Maine to Ga. Simply because its there and been on bucket list many years.
