The "stubby" VFG on my cruiser is a TAPCO Intrafuse Short Verical Grip...

You can find em on-line for around $20. I have one on another of my rifles as well. They come in black, OD green, and dark earth. The bottom plug is removeable for storing batteries, etc. They're great little tools for when you need a little extra something to hold onto.

590 Mariner Question: Why is this one so shiny?
I'm looking at buying an older 590 Mariner 20" and the finish is more of a polished/brushed stainless than the matte silver "Marinecote" of current 590s. Sort of like the one JCVD is holding in the pic.
So is this shiny stainless 590 a "special" model or discontinued? :?: A web search did not bring up a unique model, only the Mariner in matte silver... If it is a "special" model, what is it worth? (ie: what should I pay for it...)
PS: I found a couple more pics but no more info...

All I can say is BUY IT!!! It is stainless and they aren't in production any more, but if you want to be sure its the stainless model and not someones "handy work", get the SN and call Victor and Cheryl Havlin, Of Havlin sales!
The stainless is hard to come by and they almost never surface for sale. If its the real thing, get it, if you don't then send me the contact info!!!

Thanks fellas! I know it doesnt really look any different here than before, but you can sorta see the Meprolight bead, and the VCS isnt really visible at all... but its there!
