I just finished this rifle for my 8 year old son.

Surplus Ammo lower.
Aero Precision upper
GMR 16" M4 carbine barrel in 5.56
A bunch of DPMS parts and what not.
A couple of Magpul items.
I have an NCStar red dot/laser that I found in perfect shape at my FFL for $20, I couldn't pass up, My son thinks it looks cool as well :mrgreen:

I haven't had a chance to get to the range for a report, But the head space is good.
Just need some range time.

I'm in this one around $600, FWIW

The only real issue I have had so far is the finish on the Surplus Ammo lower, Its seems to chip more than anything, Somewhat disappointing, But it was only $60.00

Yeah, sorry to hear about the chipping. Heck, for $60 tough it's hard to beat.

( BTW...my AR sports a NcStar red dot scope too...{see page 4 this thread }...cheap, yet still workin' after all these years )
 
My M&P is finished!!

So the guy said its ready and text me a photo!! Put your sun glasses on ;) I left one mag black and had the other done pink. This is not Duracoat, its Ceracoat.

The rifle looks better than the gun safe in the background...
or is that a highschool locker???

maybe paint in the roll marks in pink. something to break up the solid black.

I have no idea, it was a photo inside the guys shop. He took better pictures of it he said for show. I personally like the pink, and its not too overdone for me. I'm glad I left one mag black though.

Ok, just reread your comment....I see what you are saying now, not that its too much pink, but to break up the solid black with a few accents. I like that idea, thanks for the suggestion. :)

Thank you and your wife! She should get one ;) and it was a steal to ceracoat at only $75! It was a gun show special price.
