Vegas Shooting!

Audio sounded like an AR with a binary trigger to me. The cadence speeds and slows within each string. And most of the injuries were probably from a stampeding crowd of 20,000 plus. Although a tragic event, o feel there's much more to the real story, than we will ever know
 
hearing he had bump stocks on various firearms. 16 firearms in the hotel room with tripods used.

From .223 to .308. Many of the firearms were AR-15 rifles. I'm sure we will get a better list tomorrow when they are ready to release that information. Tannerite and 19 other firearms found in his home.

Appears he committed suicide as the officers breached his room.

Had 2 vantage points to shoot from and his room was discovered not from the noise but from the smoke he was emitting from the rapid discharges into the crowd.

He planned this... and the fact that he isn't referred to by the main stream media as a right radical extremist is very telling. They are distancing themselves for the eventual conclusion he was a left wing radical which puts at least 4 shootings in their lap for all their hate rhetoric and several violent protests on liberal campuses.

That's kinda my gut feeling at this point.

This isn't just some guy who snapped. This was premeditated and well planned out attack. And deliberate.

I still have my questions about the supposed girlfriend and her husband. I also question whether this was a lot more than what it seems.
 
Don't you 10 minutes of hammering on those windows to knock them out would have alerted someone.... guarantee they're not your average double paned glass. They are meant to keep people in.

I don't know. With a strong Schmidt hammer, you can break a piece of s
glass instantly. It's just a tube with a pointy bolt inside, and it's spring loaded. When your trip it, the bolt rams forward and makes a dent in steel so you can tell how good it is.

It would also smash glass. Even the half inch tempered glass they would have in those big windows. You just need a pointy bolt and a strong spring.
 
My wife was harping about the fact that the attack was well-planned as "they" said it was a well-planned attack, with large caliber weapons.

I think any attack where you die is a poorly planned attack, unless suicide was your object as it appears here.

It's entirely possible that the dead grandpa is a patsy.

I will say this: whoever the shooter was he is going to smell like gunpowder so bad, anybody (even the heavy smokers you find in any casino) would be suspicious of someone. I do think it's unlikely they got the wrong guy.
 
Binary trigger or, I believe more likely, those crank thingies attached inside the trigger guard that remind me of a gattling gun. These were not actual Class 3 weapons, which makes it even worse that semi-autos were used 'cuz going after full auto guns barely matters to 99.999% of Americans.
 
Well from what I'm reading the guy is the son of a dangerous bank robber once sought by the FBI.

Nothing like carrying on the family tradition for mayhem.

I watched a mythbusters type show where they were testing the scene from Die Hard where Mclain crashes through the window. Thuse windows are layers of glass and plastic type material, like a car windshield. But they can be penetrated by focussing fire to a specific spot.
 
They can use various types of glass and laminated glass depending on the size of the window and the condition of its exposure, both interior and exterior.

I say this because I used to design those glass window walls (curtainwall) for high-rise buildings.

I cannot tell you what type of glass was used in this case, except they are particularly strong because the corners of a tall high rise building have the second-highest wind load on the whole building, second only to parapet corners and other extreme irregularities.

It would have been nice to have an alarm system with broken window alerts on this building & in that way It could have been pinpointed immediately which windows were blown out.

But where do you draw the line at preparedness? It's always easy to spend somebody else's money in a way that may not actually solve any particular problem BUT makes you feel good about doing something.

The gun on the rt looks odd, like there is something over the trigger and something in place of the grip.
 
My sincerest condolences to the victims and their families.

I have to agree with John...something ain't right about this story. Unless the guy is shown to be a true lunatic...something smells bad.

I guarantee its politically motivated. Our media is dead silent on his political leanings. If he hit a rap concert and was a republican they would have been screaming at the top of their lungs racist conservative.

I've been in more than one "conversation" on other boards where a few people have mentioned that the guns were converted to full auto, among other things. Even got called a bitch in one of them LOL

And this coming from people who should really know better who are falling right into the media's narrative. And I pointed it out to them that I remember you couldn't even turn on the TV back in the early 90's leading up to the AWB without being bombarded by the leftist views concerning evil guns.

I haven't seen the first hint of evidence that any of them were converted (legally or illegally) into machineguns.

Present company excluded, we all know that you can bump fire most guns WITHOUT gimmicky stocks and trigger devices in the first place. Changing buttstocks doesn't change how the gun functions, despite what the "expert news anchors" say.

Normally the media has dozens of experts going over the last 10 years of the guy's finances, employment history, medicine, the last time he went to the Lou. Yet we hear nothing about this guy.

Lots of video's getting taken down on social media.

Something doesn't add up.

yup. Like the Mother Fer went dark on the net right before he committed his act. I have huge doubts he never had any social media print being a millionaire who had no issues dumping 30k in a gambling night. Telling me this Mofo never had a facebook, myspace, linkedin account? Odd how his twitter account was locked and erased almost instantly.

Something is up... makes me want to train more for what's around the corner that I can't see.
