Howdy,
This is a monthly series of questions topic for everyone to join in on the discussion. Some of the later questions may have a poll, and some will not. Don't be shy now, go ahead and post an answer and vote in the polls....

Under what conditions would you surrender your firearms—if any?

**Rules**
There is no minimum post requirement. :D

Re: Question Of The Month. Janruary 2014

None! Since you left out the word, "Willingly."

Re: Question Of The Month. Janruary 2014

You can't win against the guys in the black SUVs, so when they show up I guess they get mine.

Re: Question Of The Month. Janruary 2014

NH state motto..."Live Free Or Die". Handing over ones guns is effectively accepting enslavement and a future as a serf. Of course all of that is easy to write and harder to do when loved ones are at risk if the guns aren't surrendered.

Plan ahead a little and you and the guns should already be gone when they get there.

Welcome to MO racknrider and wlatd1079. I hope you both take a moment to post in the new member welcome area.

Re: Question Of The Month. Janruary 2014

I must admit to you guys , I haven't had any firearms for a couple years.
I just really like to post about them and keep regurgitating and reconfiguring old photos and plagiarizing the rest from the internet, sorry but I don't have anything to give up, been a fake for a while now. Thanks for letting me hang out here though

You'll never win a "one on however many" fire fight with those guys, so if they get the drop on you...you're cooked.

Gotta agree with CarbineMike on that one. No weapons to be found = no fight and no confiscations.

But like Oli I'm also a poser. I lost all mine in a tragic boating accident....you guys know the story so I won't elaborate.

Sorry Rip....................

Sorry Rip....................

I was a witness...we [USCG] pluked him out of the water  so sorry about those firearms though... And your boat

So I'm a step above you guys... I just make really good replicas of guns that I'll be happy to turn in if asked to.

Re: Question Of The Month. Janruary 2014

If they show up in mass there is really nothing you can do if you hadn't already done it. Split 'em up, locate 'em elsewhere, bury them (but with today's technology good metal detectors will find them). They may get some but not all.

I would hate to lose my Dad's and Grandfather's guns...makes me sick thinking about it. They are all old hunting guns, even collector's items maybe. But they've been in the family for decades.

Give them up willingly? No, under no circumstances. By force is another story...a sad, sad story.. :( :( :(

Re: Question Of The Month. Janruary 2014

There is a very bright spotlight on myself and some very close friends fighting for our rights.
We do our best to keep everything on the up and up and legal as every citizen should.

But to answer a question on confiscation.

FROM MY COLD DEAD HANDS MOTHER F***ER

Sorry about the language but this hits a raw nerve in me

Re: Question Of The Month. Janruary 2014

I have already HAD to do this once in my life and hopefully I never will again. In 1996 in Scotland a disgruntled lunatic entered a school with a couple of 9mm pistols and murdered the children and teachers.

As a result of this in 1997 Tony Blair wanted to get himself elected. When he became Prime Minister he changed the U.K Firearms act re-classifying cartridge pistols to section 5, in other words the same class as machine guns. Thus effectively BANNED from possession of law abiding citizens.

He punished 55,000 innocent gun owners as scapegoats. Despite Blair's changes to the law to "make everybody safe", there are criminal shootings with so called “banned” handguns somewhere in the U.K nearly every day.

Last year Blair's daughter was robbed at gunpoint on a London street, just goes to show how much "safer" he made everybody.

I have heard a lot of Americans say “REGISTRATION LEADS TO CONFISCATION”.
Well believe me never a truer word was said.

All of our legally owned pistols in the U.K were registered in Police databases. They had the make, model, serial number action type and calibre all recorded.

We were contacted by Police firearms licencing departments and were given an appointment to surrender them to Police. Being a serving Police Officer did not exempt me, they were all handed in.
We HAD TO as we could not deny possession of them. Eventually we were all paid compensation at market value by Blair's government. But I would much rather have kept my guns.

We were left with Shotguns 24” minimum barrel length, centre fire manual repetition (not pump action) rifles, rimfire rifles of any action type, muzzle loading handguns and oh yeah the “long barreled revolvers”

Five years ago I retired and moved to Spain. Here the firearms licencing is similar to what the U.K used to be. I have bought new handguns and short barreled shotguns, but recently pig ignorant
do-gooders, people who are just gun haters in the European Parliament are publicly spouting about “banning things” like semi automatics all over Europe.

I really don't need that for a second time in my life.

This actually happened in the U.K. Look at it and learn from it and DON'T let it happen to America.

I really appreciate posts like yours because it highlights what we have to loose as a nation. We like to fool ourselves into a false comfort, thinking that just a few laws here and there won't lead to anything. How WRONG that thinking is, as one law leads to the next.... And disarmament being the eventual goal of our socialist liberal agenda. I'm sorry you've had to go through that, but thank you for being an example!

Re: Question Of The Month. Janruary 2014

Ah yes...the nerve has been struck. Good.
Those of you reading this months question but wont post up an answer, think long and hard about it. Your freedom of speech was granted because of "Guns". Once they take the guns the freedoms you never think to exercise upon or are too caught up in your own little world to be bothered by it, it will be too late. We need tlo stand up and be heard while we still have a voice. Make the change you want to see with your vote.

Marc I meant my thanks.
I should have done that to begin with but the last couple of days have been a bit rough on our rights and I typed what I felt.

In case I wasn't clear earlier...I will do everything in my power to retain my firearms 'til the bitter end.

IMHO, if any of my Canadian bro's who read this and don't think that "fundamental" changes to US gun laws won't give inertia to the already vocal and rabid anti-gun lobby here....you are sadly mistaken. If this ball ever gains real momentum south of the line, we are royally screwed up here. Heaven forbid US law ever supersedes ours because confiscations are then right around the corner. We should all be very concerned.
