Holsters, We have them! ***Photo Thread***

Got that surplus M11 (Sig P228/229) holster in the mail today.

Just for the hell of it I tried my new FNP in it since I don't have the p228 yet. I'll be damned. It fit practically like a glove. Just right at the muzzle where the guide rod cover is a touch fatter for the intergrated rail it was a bit snug but it its a surprisingly perfect fit otherwise. The snap closed without any effort and its in there solid. Fully loaded mag (empty chamber though) to simulate the weight I turned it upside down and shook it violently. It didn't budge and wasn't coming out unless you deliberately unsnapped it. Even then with the tight fit at the muzzle end it was still quite snug. As cheap as the holster was and can be had on fleabay I'm gonna snag another one. If I didn't know this was a Sig specific holster I'd swear it was made for this FN instead.

I still want a bad ass drop leg tactical style for it so I can leave the light attached but its nice to know this could work as a viable OWB option for concealing the FNP with a nice winter coat over it. For the DIY type folks some j hooks could be added possibly for a very cheap IWB option possibly.

Two birds, one stone. A holster that can pull double duty for me. Not bad for a surplus 15 dollar find on the bay. I'm stoked. Makes waiting for the p228 a little easier for me lol.

jgwillis,

Here's one you might take a look at. I bought it 'cause it was the only thing my MK VII would fit in, but have since used it on the range for my STI, Gock 21, SIG P220, and a 1911 or two. I'll work for most any full-sized pistol...

I posted this one up in the Magnum Research thread a couple weeks ago. Picked up this drop-leg rig for my Desert Eagle MK VII. Cost me $25 and easily fits the enourmous MK VII and oversized mags...

I'm aware of that particular holster LES. Also I absolutely love ATACS and have quite a bit of the Condor stuff in that pattern. However.......... part of the reason why I don't own that yet is simply because its a right handed version only. They don't offer it in left hand so its a no go. Thanks for the suggestion though.

So I finally got a Kydex holster made for my G29 with the Crimson Trace 201. I had a 12 dollar Uncle Mikes that fit it like a glove IWB but noticed the laser would sometimes turn on while entering, exiting or riding in a vehicle.
So I found this guy one town over that does Kydex.

I gave him my pistol for two days and he came back with the holster. The holster was awesome but it rode too high for my preference.

He made this little jig that allows the clip to be moved up and down for ride height choices, free of charge.

The guy is real cool, talking with him I found out he was trying to get into fire business, not so much the wild type like me but the structure type, I know all the right folk for that too.

Turns out he is a vet, 6 years sniper team leader in IRQ among other things, so you all know how I like setting up vets with fire jobs. He is on his way.

Accelerated-Solutions ………… https://a-solutionsllc.com/ ……he just started in ’13 so he is still making a name and adding things to the site……prices are awesome, I got mine done for $60 and the next best price I could find online for what I needed was $90.

@JoeRotella , I've heard of Alien Gear before, but never used one...

@oli700 that's a great lookin carry rig, congrats. Keep us posted on how it rides and holds up over time. Great story about the guy too. Glad to see you were able to help get the ball rolling for him...

will do....it was two fold, helping a vet is always good and its a local business and I'll go that rout every time.....well almost, Noveske is still too much money for what you get imo and I even know people who work there. Maybe someday if I am overly rich but for now my rifle makes a hole like theirs and in the same place as theirs lol

Absolutely.

I always love how quiet guys at the range get after they stop showing off their fancy high dollar trendy brand name rifles to each other long enough to ask me what I'm using to punch those tiny holes through my targets. Seems like they need a period of quiet relfection when they hear it's pieced together from a mixed bag of parts and a DPMS barrel...

That barrel is phenomenal. I really want to get a proper scope on my M-12 barrel and see what it really will do but as it is , it shoots as good as any rifle I have ever shot and better than most...

My ar is

Yes Sir.

It's hands down my most consistent on target and most versatile with a range of bullet weights...

also have a g-code xst rti holster on order but with them moving/building a new production facility it looks like I still have a few weeks left on my lead time.

I've got a challenge! I'm looking myself.

I am trying to find a holster. It will be used to carry a glock 19, in the home only (carry is illegal in practice in HI outside the domicile).

Being military my belt is predominantly this one.

I'm looking for a slide belt holster in this color to fit that 2" belt. Anyone seen one?

If I don't find one I'm gonna have to make one. And we don't want me trying to make stuff...

I like the Alien so far. Takes some break in time as well as a size larger pants. Picked up a 5.11 belt at BP that works well with it. Very sturdy. The smaller Alien version is comfortable enough to wear all day. The larger version (for a compact .45) is a bit uncomfortable for extended periods but my body is not "deep" so it presses on my hip. I did line the insides with stick-on moleskin...made a difference in feel and how it held in place without excessive belt pressure.

This is the closest I can find, the Safariland 7TS ALS Concealment Belt-slide in FDE...

The belt slits are 1.75", but with a nylon belt I wouldn't think that'd be much of an issue...

I just got mine not long ago, they got very popular very quickly and were too small to handle the work and are still ramping up. a lot of people are giving them crap about communication and lead times, i ordered in january while they were moving everything to a larger production facility so my order too 15 weeks. they've added more staff and a whole customer service department but are still transitioning so give them a break if its still a little slow or difficult to get in touch with them at first.
