I can see putting a bird cage or muzzle break on a the savage, 1/111 Hoghunter or possibly a can. I think as a quasi scout rifle it has some potential. Not a scout rifle in the true sense of the term, yet still fairly compact, and for a whole lot less money than what I'm getting ready to spend on a Ruger GSS.
I like my M1A it just the way it is...A classic old school battle rifle, it has everything it needs and nothing it doesn't. Though, there is an aluminum aftermarket stock available that can really update the platform to a more modern style battle rifle (rails).
1911's and M1A's, thats like bread and butter...LOL
